‘Midway Shack’ by Bob Weeks. Taken May 1962. The timber and tin was stolen at night from the backyards of houses that backed onto the sandhills, mostly old chock sheds. The shack lasted nearly six months, until the council demolished it. The inspiration for the shack came after the crew watched ‘Barefoot Adventure ’ and saw the shack at San O.
